March 29 is Opening Day for Major League Baseball and while we are certainly looking forward to seeing our favorite players return to the field, there is something else about baseball we can’t help but get excited about: the stadium food.
The days of stale nachos and hot dogs of questionable origin are long gone. The food being served up at stadiums across the country is now an awesome mix of haute cuisine and ‘Murican overindulgence — and it’s almost always delicious. But sampling each team’s latest over-the-top offerings is impossible for most of us who just don’t have the means to travel to 30 ball parks across the US. So this year, the MLB is making it much easier — at least for those of us in the NYC-area.
On April 21 and 22, New York City’s Bryant Park will host MLB Foodfest, featuring a selection of insane food from all 30 MLB teams. Tickets are $25 for food and soda or $40 if you want to include beer, too. Each ticket gets you two hours at the epic epicurean event.
